1 Sam 13:14 - "As it is, your kingly rule is already falling to pieces. God is out looking for your replacement right now. This time he'll do the choosing. When he finds him, he'll appoint him leader of his people. And all because you didn't keep your appointment with God! "

His Love For God

David wrote a lot of Psalms and in most of them he praises God with song. David wrote 73 of the Psalms. It shows his heart for God. Some of the songs we still sing today.

When you love God, then you keep His commandments.

John 14:15 - "If you love me, show it by doing what I've told you."

John 14:23 - "Because a loveless world," said Jesus, "is a sightless world. If anyone loves me, he will carefully keep my word and my Father will love him - we'll move right into the neighbourhood! "

When you love God you can keep on going, and you do not get tired

Rev. 2:3 - "I know your persistence, your courage in my cause, that you never wear out"

Jer. 2:2 - "Get out in the streets and call to Jerusalem, 'God's Message! I remember your youthful loyalty, our love as newlyweds. You stayed with me through the wilderness years, stuck with me through all the hard places."

But we cannot talk about love if we do not talk about God's fear. If you love the Lord you must also have fear for Him.  What is the fear for the Lord?

Prov. 16:6 - "Guilt is banished through love and truth; Fear-of-God deflects evil. " It means that you have respect for God and you would not do things that you know He does not like.

And that was the one big mistake in David's life. It was one thing he lacked of in one stage of his life, he did not fear God. Then he would of stayed away from Bathsheba.

Heavenly Father, Love and fear for You must go hand in hand. Both must be in my heart. Please put both in my heart. That mean that I will keep on following You even-though things get hard, and it will keep me on the right path. I ask this in Jesus Name ... Amen!!!
