Luke 1:37 - " For there is nothing which God is not able to do."

Elijah And The Widow

The drought lasted so long that even the sprouting of the river Crith dried up so that Elijah did not even had water. And again Elijah was in cul de sac. The crows brought him bread and meat, but without water he will die. So what now?

1 Kings 17:8,9 - "   Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, Up! go now to Zarephath, in Zidon, and make your living-place there; I have given orders to a widow woman there to see that you have food." (note, it was a pagan woman)

When he arrived things did not look so good. He asked the woman for a little bit of water and a piece of bread she answered in 1 Kings 17:12 - " Then she said, By the life of the Lord your God, I have nothing but a little meal in my store, and a drop of oil in the bottle; and now I am getting two sticks together so that I may go in and make it ready for me and my son, so that we may have a meal before our death."

But then Elijah prophesy in faith to the Spirit. 1 Kings 17:14 - " For this is the word of the Lord, the God of Israel: The store of meal will not come to an end, and the bottle will never be without oil, till the day when the Lord sends rain on the earth." (let us also speak in faith over our own situation)

! Kings 17:16 - "The store of meal did not come to an end, and the bottle was never without oil, as the Lord had said by the mouth of Elijah." Praise the Lord!!!

This reminds me of a pastor I have heard of. In the beginning of the 1900's he want over the border of Botswana and went to do missionary work. After 6 months his friends went to visit while he was busy building a hut. They looked at the sack maize meal and asked him how long have he been using the maize cause the sack still looked full. Then he realized that he was using the sack maize for 6 months now!

The Lord makes a plan, you can relax!

Lord, please change the cul de sac in a highway so that my heart can be happy...Amen!!!
